My Account
Manage your profile, email, password, and security settings.
Plan & Usage
Profile
Your name and contact info — used for receipts, notifications, and your account summary.
Email & Password
Your sign-in credentials. Changing your email requires verification of the new address before the change takes effect.
Two-Factor Authentication
Add a second layer of protection to your account.
Sign-In Security
Control how strictly we verify it's really you when signing in. Default is balanced: one-time code required on new devices, trusted devices stay signed in for 24 hours of inactivity.
Notification Preferences
Choose which emails you want to receive. Security alerts (sign-in, password change) are always sent and can't be turned off.
Ghost Mode
Keep your identity private across Gun Vault. We won't show your real name to other users, invitation emails omit identifying info, and photos are scrubbed of location data on upload. Learn more about what Ghost Mode protects →
Death Flow Lock
If a Trusted Contact files a death report against your account, the standard flow allows auto-unlock after 10 days (or immediately with 2-of-N countersign). Death Flow Lock overrides this: automated unlocks are halted, and admin review becomes required before any vault contents are released. Recommended for users worried about TC compromise or social-engineering attacks.
Turning On Death Flow Lock
You're adding friction to the succession process on purpose. Before we flip the switch, read this carefully.
- 10-day auto-unlock after evidence submitted — halted pending admin review
- 2-of-N countersign by your Trusted Contacts — halted pending admin review
- Vault contents (firearm list, executor letter, heir info) remain sealed until admin explicitly unlocks
- Full audit trail on every death report filed against you
- Email + in-app notification on every state change
- You can still cancel any report with a single click from the email link or dashboard
- You can turn Death Flow Lock off again anytime
Turning On Ghost Mode
Before we flip the switch, it's important to understand what Ghost Mode can and can't do. We want to be straight with you.
- Your name won't appear in new emails or UI displays — we'll use your handle
- Invitation emails to trusted contacts won't include identifying info
- Photos uploaded from here on will be scrubbed of location (EXIF) data
- You can always turn Ghost Mode off later
- Already-sent emails — invitations and notifications we've already delivered can't be un-sent
- Existing documents — PDFs, 4473s, receipts you've already uploaded may contain your real name inside
- Payment records — your credit card has your real name; use Privacy.com or a prepaid card for full billing anonymity
- Legal subpoenas — we comply with lawful court orders; Ghost Mode is about privacy from data brokers and breaches, not from legal process
About Ghost Mode
Ghost Mode is Gun Vault's privacy tier for gun owners who want the features without putting their real name on a list.
What Ghost Mode protects
- Data breaches — if our database were ever compromised, your name isn't in it. Just a handle.
- Data brokers & marketing lists — there's nothing for them to harvest and correlate with other lists.
- Casual snooping — family members or visitors can't see your real name on your vault.
- Inter-user visibility — your trusted contacts and heirs see your handle, not your name, unless you choose to reveal it.
- Automated communications — emails we send won't include identifying information about you.
What Ghost Mode can't do
- Defy legal process — if served a valid subpoena, we must comply. Ghost Mode protects privacy from breaches and data brokers, not from courts.
- Hide your billing identity — your credit card has your real name attached at the bank. For full billing anonymity, use Privacy.com virtual cards or a prepaid Visa.
- Scrub PII from documents you upload — 4473s, receipts, and insurance docs have your name printed on them. We can store them but not magically remove text from inside.
- Protect your IP address — WordPress and CloudFlare log IPs; if you need that protected too, consider using a VPN or Tor when accessing Gun Vault.
Our promise
We collect the minimum data needed to run your vault. We don't sell data to anyone, ever. We encrypt at rest. We're transparent about what Ghost Mode does and doesn't do — because false promises about privacy are worse than no promises at all.
Trusted Contact
The person who knows about your vault and can coordinate access after your death. Edit your primary contact here, or manage multiple contacts on the Succession page.
